HTC Sense 5 UI Leaks Again

Just a couple of days after HTC’s M7 smartphone was spotted in the flesh, leaked screenshots of HTC’s new Sense 5.0 UI also began to appear. The latest leakage is courtesy of a user from the Chinese social network Weibo who posted an image of Verizon’s Droid DNA running on strange UI believed to be the Sense 5. The UI also had a new set of icons, a weather widget, and a home screen that features different sections for apps.
Additionally, other users from XDA Developers also posted screenshots of Sense 5 UI running on the Droid DNA. As you can see in the photo above courtesy of a user named mdeejay from XDA-Developers, a Sprint HTC M7 ROM is being ported to a Droid DNA. The user also pointed out that the ported device is running Sense 5 on top of Android 4.1. The leaks all point to one thing – somewhere out there, folks are testing out HTC’s latest and upcoming UI. As to when will HTC announce it, it’s really anyone’s guess. The closest guess will be at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Spain.
HTC High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The company started as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) that was building devices for others, but went on making HTC-branded smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows operating system (OS) for mobile. In 2009, it began to shift its core focus away from Windows mobile devices to Android-based ones. In 2010 the company went back to the Windows Phone eco-system.
