IMC launch 'made in Pakistan' SUV

Indus Motor Company (IMC) Ltd launched yet another globally renowned product from Toyota family: the first locally assembled true Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) "Fortuner" here on Saturday. "IMC adhering to its commitment to develop the local auto industry of Pakistan will continue to offer new, quality products and increase the localisation through continuous transfer of technology," Parvez Ghias CEO Indus Motors said.
"It represents one more significant step towards fulfilling IMC's commitment to Pakistan's market. We value the passion and trust given to Toyota by our local customers," he said adding that the locally assembled "Fortuner" is around 40 percent cheaper than its imported version and offers many luxury and safety features to the local customers, bringing a whole new driving experience for them.
Ghias said that IMC has been contributing to the development of auto industry in Pakistan since 1993 through transfer of technology, research in automobile industry and keeping the customers' first philosophy by building better cars with enhanced quality standards.
"Fortuner" is equipped with hi-tech safety and security features such as anti-lock brake system (ABS) and SRS airbags. It has been installed with seven independent seat belts with height adjustment for driver and the front passenger with seven reclining seats and ample storage space. "Fortuner's" advanced entertainment system is equipped with a seven-inch touch screen, built-in steering switches including six-speaker configuration and bluetooth for hands-free calling.-PR
