60-inch Apple TV Release Date Set for This Year [SEE DETAILS]; 'iTV' 'ring controlled' Set to include 'Mini iTV'

There have been plenty of rumors regarding an Apple TV set, and now it appears that the long awaited product is going to be released later this year.

According to the Calgary Herald, Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets has revealed that the “iTV’ will be available for around $1,500 to $2,5000. The television will be 60 inches on the diagonal, but will also have 50 and 55-inch versions. In addition to the television sets, Apple will introduce an “iRing” that fits on the viewer’s fingers, allowing him to control the screen by pointing.

White’s report is based on unnamed Chinese and Taiwanese companies that supply the company with components. While Apple does not comment on future products before its launch, the company’s late CEO Steve Jobs had said that he wanted to remake the TV and had found a way to do it.

In addition to the “iTV” the TV set will come ith “mini iTV,” similar to a tablet, that has a 9.7-inch screen. The “mini iTV,” which is the same size and a iPad, will be able to receive video from the iTV from around the house, with the concept being similar to that of cable and satellite companies allowing for video to be streamed on tablets.

Currently there is an “Apple TV,” but the product is a small box that connects to the television to display movies and shows from iTunes.
