Emma Watson applied her real-life fame to play a fame-obsessed teen in "The Bling Ring."

The 23-year-old actress portrays a bad girl in the films newly released trailer who longs for the life of the rich and famous.

In the movies plot, Watson and her friends decide the only way to get close to the stars is to steal from them.

The film is based on a true story of a group of teenagers that burglarized the Hollywood Hills homes of celebrities including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom from 2008 to 2009.

"So after seeing this clip, I look back over the work I've done in the last 14 years and many things come to mind — most importantly, how bad my hair was in the first 'Harry Potter' film!" Watson joked during her acceptance speech.

“The Bling Ring," directed by Sofia Coppola will premiere in May at the Cannes Film Festival and hits theaters June 14.
