Halle Berry, Michael Kors join hands for a noble cause

KARACHI:Oscar-winning actress and fashion designer Halle Berry has teamed up with U.S designer Michael Kors and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to help fight hunger and raise awareness.

WFP is an organization that provides aid to those who are unable to find food for themselves and their family.It is considered to be United Nation’s frontline agency to fight hunger to provide food to more than 90 million people in 75 countries.

Berry and Kors have designed two watches, as part of the designer’s ‘Watch Hunger Stop’ campaign. Each watch sold will allow 100 meals to be provided to hungry children through WFP. Their watches are reportedly to be launched by the end of this month.

In 2012, Kors partened with the World Food Programme to raise awareness and funds, and now he is bringing Berry on board while the “Cat Woman” actress has previously worked with Jenesse Centre in Los Angeles, which provides shelter and special assistance to women and children suffering from domestic violence.

Reportedly, the two designers are also set to visit areas where WFP distribute food.
