This year one is witnessing a fierce battle between many premium and high end devices like Galaxy S4, HTC One, and Sony Xperia Z etc. However the most interesting battle is between the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One for the simple reason that both of them are going to hit the shelves for sale almost at the same time. However there is another battle which is going to be fiercer and it will be the battle between the Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini. The HTC One Mini has been given the name HTC M4.
The start of 2013 was relatively calm with most companies pushing on the devices they had released in 2012. Companies looked rather smug but underneath this calm, feverish activity was taking place and this was evident in a few months when a number of high end devices were launched. The HTC One and Galaxy S4 arrived almost simultaneously and as competitors to the iPhone 5.

Both the HTC One and the Galaxy S4 were perfectly poised to take on the iPhone 5. Samsung was pretty confident for its Galaxy S4 against the flagship of the Cupertino Giant since its predecessor Galaxy S3 had already vanquished the iPhone 5. Both the devices are all set to dominate the smartphone at least for the time being. It is also the perfect time to launch the mini versions of the two devices. There are rumors aplenty about the Galaxy S4 Mini for some time and last week rumors about the HTC One Mini named HTC M4 also started surfacing.

Both devices are going to be watered down versions of their older variants since both companies will be engaged full time in the promotion of their flagship devices and will not have much time or resources for the Mini versions of their flagship. The cost tag which the two devices will be carrying is not clear but it is futile to expect a huge difference in the price of the older versions and the Mini version. In all probability the Mini versions of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One will carry a price tag of $100 to $150 with the mandatory two year contract.
