Diplomatic Corps Dean holds dinner for Hina Rabbani Khar
ISLAMABAD: The Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Rodolfo J Martin Saravia Ambassador of the Argentine Republic hosted a grand dinner in honour of the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Hina Rabbani Khar. The event was generously sponsored by Serena Hotel.
The dinner was also attended by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs HE Nawazada Malik Amad Khan and Madam, the Federal Secretary for Foreign Affairs HE Jalil Abbas Jilani and Madam and the Special Secretary (PP & PD) HE Noor Muhammad Jadmani and Madam.
The ambassador’s and high commissioner’s that participated in the dinner were in precedence order from: Greece, Yemen, Algeria, Sri-Lanka, Romania, India, Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait, Bosnia, Korea, Iraq, Cuba, Austria, European-Union, Myanmar, DPR Korea, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Japan, Egypt, Norway, Czech Republic, UAE, Sudan, Netherlands, France, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Nepal, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkmenistan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Denmark, Jordan, Belgium, Uzbekistan, Canada, United-States, Nigeria, Palestine, South Africa and Tajikistan. Many of the Head of Missions attended with their wives. There were also the Charge D’ Affairs of Somalia, Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Poland, Bangladesh, Brunei, Sweden, Hungary, Australia, Kazakhstan and Tunisia.
A Cuban Musical Trio called ‘A3, Jazz Band’ enthralled the guests with its unique sound and entertained the guests during the dinner. This musical and was generously offered by the Ambassador of Cuba and gave the evening a very special touch.
In his speech the Dean of Diplomatic Corps Rodolfo J Martin Saravia, welcomed the foreign minister and the other high authorities of the government and thanked Aziz Boolani CEO of the Serena Hotels for the generous offer of sponsoring the event. pr
