Sony has revealed a little more about its next console at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Firstly, the DualShock 4 includes a touchpad that supports two simultaneous actions that can be used to help control a browser interface or use the cursor.

Internally there is a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope.

The DualShock 4 connected to the console will be recharged even when the machine is off, which is not the case with the PS3.

In addition, the new PlayStation will carry a Blu-ray player that will provide a speed three times faster than the model featured on the PS3.

The LED bar can be used to increase the sense of immersion in the game.

Its settings in different colors are designed to match to the atmosphere of a game or an action.

It can change color in a fire, use of a firearm or when the player reaches a critical level of health.

Finally, Sony announced the presence of a “high capacity” hard disk in the console, without specifying the storage capacity.

The company previously revealed that the PlayStation 4 will be equipped with an x86 “Jaguar” AMD processor with eight CPU cores, an updated GPU with 18 “compute units” and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.
