Wowing supercar, and er, tractor fans alike, Lamborghini has been around for a full five decades. Established in Sant’Agata, Italy, by Italian tractor entrepreneur Ferruccio Lamborghini, Lamborghini began building supercars in 1963. Ever since, we’ve had a slew of exotics come out of Sant’Agata with the flagship Aventador being the latest and the sharpest supercar in Lamborghini’s range. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Lamborghini has come up with the Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, a supercar that adds more power to the stock Aventador and that features a bunch of stylistic changes to look sharper than sharp. Oh, and even the interiors get a thorough once over. The car has been unveiled at the ongoing 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
In Anniversario guise, the 6.5 Liter V12 engine of the Lamborghini Aventador gets a new engine map to output 720 Bhp, a full 20 Bhp more than the stock version. This engine puts power to all four wheels through a 7 speed gearbox. 0-100 Kph comes up in a awe inspiring 2.9 seconds while top speed is a mighty 350 Kph. Coming to the cosmetic changes on the Aventador Anniversario, the supercar gets new front air intakes, a new aerodynamic splitter and flaps on its flanks. These changes aren’t just aesthetic ones as they also work to improve the aerodynamics of the supercar. At the rear, the diffuser gets enlarged while engine cooling gets optimized with a larger mesh grille.

The two tone paint job on the Lamborghini Aventador Anniversario Edition is Giallo Maggio, Italian for May Yellow, and matte black. While this special paint job comes as standard, Aventador Anniversario buyers have the option of customizing the paint job. Also, the alloy wheels get a glossy black paint finish to go with the overall look of the Anniversary edition. On the inside, the leather trim for the Aventador Anniversario is available in two finishes: a dual tone black-brown finish and a yellow finish. The leather stitch inside the Anniversario edition of the Aventador gets the Q-Citura stitch, a diamond pattern that is exclusive to this version of the supercar. Only 100 individually numbered units of the Lamborghini Aventador Anniversario Edition supercar will be built.
