Jennifer Lopez and Verizon open Viva Móvil boutique shop near Barclays Center

Jenny’s block may be in the Bronx, but J-Lo’s new cellphone store calls Boerum Hill home.
Music megastar Jennifer Lopez opened up Viva Móvil, a Verizon store with a Latina twist, on Flatbush Ave. across from the Barclays Center.
The workaholic Lopez designed the glistening white store, which opened Tuesday, plastering the walls with her smiling face and filling the space with bright orange furniture resembling an Ikea showroom.
Blackberries, iPhones and other smartphones are dotted around the shop. A wall-sized television screen hangs in the back blasting Lopez’s music videos and songs from other pop stars.
“You can feel her [presence] in this store,” said Edgar Cody, 58, a truck driver from Flatbush.
“This is beautiful. You kidding me? J-Lo is my girl,” Cody said as he enjoyed free orange peppermint sticks which sit in glass jars throughout the store.
The singer and Verizon plan to open more stores throughout the five borughsLopez, 43, crowned the world’s most powerful celebrity by Forbes last May, teamed up with Verizon to make a chain of cell phone stores catering to the Latino community.
“Latinos are shoppers. The experience of having a cell phone includes the experience of buying a cell phone,” said Miguel Montero, Viva Móvil’s general manager.
Montero said the bustling corner of Flatbush Ave. and Pacific St. was picked as the flagship site because of the Barclays’ popularity.
“It is the most vibrant intersection you could find in New York City,” Montero said.
A second Viva will open in late July on Junction Blvd. in Rego Park, Queens and more will appear in Spanish-speaking neighborhoods across the five boroughs.
Unlike a traditional Verizon store, Lopez’s shops boast brighter colors, a bilingual staff and a play area for kids.
There are also $49.99 phone cases, made out of fake snake skin, designed by the A-lister — who could not be reached for comment — for her growing wireless empire.
“It’s a good venture for her,” said shopper Omodel Shabazz from Canarsie as she eyed phones with her daughter. “This is a new discovery. Why not?”
