New smartphone branded 'world's fastest'

Chinese technology company Huawei has revealed its new smartphone, calling it the 'world's fastest'.
The Ascend P2 is designed to support faster download speeds than other smartphones on the market, however wireless networks are unable to supply those speeds as yet.
Last year the tech giant was the third-largest maker of smartphones in the world after Samsung and Apple, despite having a small market presence in the US.
In October a US congressional panel recommended phone carriers not to do business with Huawei, expressing fears its network equipment would make the country's communications network vulnerable.
Despite this and several recent attacks on US firms allegedly by the Chinese military, Huawei says it hopes the Ascend P2 will help build brand trust and global recognition, calling itself 'a great consumer brand in the making'.
