Shahbaz Junior showers laptops

LAHORE – A ceremony to distribute laptops among students of University of Education was held at Alhamra Cultural Complex on Thursday.

On the occasion, MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif gave 2345 laptops to brilliant students of ten campuses and all divisions of the varsity.

Addressing the participants, Hamza said Pakistani youth was awaking and they would become a rock wall against any unconstitutional step. He said that the only short cut to the solution of terrorism, corruption and other problems was promotion of education. He said if his party comes into power, they would remove the darkness from the country by adopting a policy of eliminating loadshedding on war footings.  Hamza said some elements were criticising laptops distribution scheme for the sake of criticism and such people were indulging in insult to the parents and students of Pakistan as Pakistani youth were not a selling commodity and they would vote to their representatives fighting for the survival of the country in next elections.

He said that had laptop distribution program been so bad, it would not have been followed in India.

He said that now the laptops program was extended to PhD scholars and their supervisors who would be given 5000 laptops in Punjab.

Hamza said that the problems of the country could be solved if the leadership was sincere and imbued with the national spirit.

“After 9/11, Turkey rejected American offer for waiving off its loans and refused to give airbases to it. Nawaz Sharif also set similar example by conducting nuclear tests after Indian explosions despite all pressure,” he said. He said this tradition of national dignity had been repeated by Punjab CM by renouncing foreign loans.

Later, Hamza distributed laptops among boys and girls and congratulated the lucky parents and teachers.
